One Hit Wonder is the artist that produces one significant hit single, which becomes the public recognition of the artist while subsequent songs and albums aren't as successful. |
Unfortunately, there are no certain clear rules which selected song should or should not be on the one hit wonder list. We have decided to use the most common criteria to justify that song should or should not be on our lists which are:
- The song should make the band or artist become well-known.
- After that song is released, the well-known of the band or artist will unlikely continue, but the song does. Most of the time, people know the song but do not know the band or artist.
- There might be the hit song which is created by the same band or artist who reappear in the different name or band.
These are our criteria which we use to create our one hit wonder lists. We are totally understand there might be some disagreement in our criteria, please make your comments in our comment area. We love to hear from you. |
