Swedish singer Loreen, won the Eurovision song contest over the weekend in a landslide. Placing second were the Russian grandmothers followed by Zeljko Joksimovic of Serbia in third place.
The song "Euphoria" was a Eurpopean favourite across the board, the win for Loreen will see Eurovision 2013 hosted by Sweden. Next year will mark the 39th anniversary of ABBA's win at Eurovsion 1974 with the song "Waterloo". I wonder what it would take to have ABBA reunite for oldtimes sake in 2013?
Aerosmith announce new album 'Music From Another Dimension'
Aerosmith have announced full details of their long-awaited studio album 'Music From Another Dimension'.
The album, which will be the 15th full-length offering of the band's career, will be released on August 27 in the UK and August 28 in the US.
'Music From Another Dimension' will be preceded by a single, which is titled 'Legendary Child'. The band debuted the track live on American Idol last night (May 24) and you can hear the studio version by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking.
The album is the follow-up to 2004's 'Honkin' On Bobo' and has been produced by Jack Douglas, the man behind 1975's 'Toys In The Attic'.
Speaking previously about the band's new album, guitarist Joe Perry said: "The record's gonna sound modern and hi-fi. We're not sitting around going, 'We're gonna do 'Night In The Ruts' again or 'Rocks' again'. We want to make a modern sounding record, but the main thing is the energy that the early records had."
Aerosmith have also announced that they will play a full North American tour across the summer.
The tracklisting for 'Music From Another Dimension' is as follows:
'What Could Have Been Love'
'Beautiful'
'Street Jesus'

'We All Fall Down'
'Another Last Goodbye'
'Out Go The Lights'
'Love Three Times A Day'

'Freedom Fighter'
'Up On The Mountain'
Watch: Official Video for Bruce Springsteen's Rocky Ground
Bruce Springsteen has released the video for Rocky Ground, one of the best songs from his recent album Wrecking Ball. There's no actual Springsteen in the video but, instead, a series of hands writing out the lyrics for the song superimposed over (mostly) black and white images of the downtrodden in stark cityscapes.

Portland alt-rockers Everclear return to Australian audiences after 14 years .
Art Alexakis and the latest incarnation of Everclear bring their hooky alternarock classics from 1994’s Sparkle & Fade all the way up to their forthcoming eighth album Invisible Stars.
Alexakis says of the new album, “In some ways, this album’s a lot more aggressive than anything we’ve done in a long time. But in other ways, it’s a lot more melodic. I like having both of those sides covered.”
The band currently consists of figurehead Alexakis, with David French on guitar, Freddy Herrera on bass, Josh Crawley on keys and Sean Winchester on drums.
“When I look back at what Everclear has done,” Alexakis concludes, “I see a lot of things that have changed and a lot of things that have stayed consistent. But at the end of the day, I’m still doing the same thing I’ve always done. It’s still guitar-based rock ‘n’ roll, and I’m still just telling stories, which is all I’ve ever wanted to do. I’m proud of what we’ve done, and I still enjoy it. And I feel blessed that other people like it too.”
Everclear will be joined by Sydney rockers and recent Shock Records-signees Strangers up the East Coast. Tickets go on sale on Friday June 1 from the venues, Moshtix and Oztix.
