more unreleased radiohead tracks leaked online

Listen: Two more unreleased Radiohead tracks posted online

Two more unreleased Radiohead tracks have been posted online, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click to listen to the tracks.

The tracks, which are titled 'Fragile Friend' and 'Fat Girl', come from the same 1986 demo tape as 'Everybody Knows' and 'Girl (In The Purple Dress)', which were released online late last year. The tracks were recorded at Oxfordshire's Abingdon School when the band were still known as On A Friday and before guitarist Jonny Greenwood joined the band.

A further lost Radiohead track, which was supposedly recorded by the band in the early 1990s, was revealed as a hoax just before Christmas. The track, which was thought to be called 'How Do You Sit Still', actually turned out to be the work of singer-songwriter Christopher Stopa, who nows works as a baker.

Radiohead are set to tour the world throughout 2012 and hinted that they will play arena shows in the UK rather than festival dates.

grammy award artist to release album

2011 Grammy Award Winner for Best New Artist Releases Album
by SALLY BAILEY

When relative unknown singer and bassist Esperanza Spalding beat the odds and defied competition from Justin Bieber, Drake, Florence & The Machine and Mumford & Sons to win the 2011 Grammy Award for Best New Artist, stunned critics, fans and bloggers took to the web to express their amazement at what was seemingly one of the biggest upsets in the history of the awards.

In March 2012 Spalding will release her brand new studio album Radio Music Society, her most diverse, ambitious and masterful recital yet. The music is realized by many of the talented musicians who are part of Spalding’s ever-expanding universe including hip-hop giant Q-Tip, who performs on and co-produced two tracks, jazz legends Joe Lovano, Jack DeJohnette and Billy Hart, guitar heroes Jef Lee Johnson and Lionel Loueke, and an array of master vocalists including Lalah Hathaway and Gretchen Parlato. As well as composing and directing the music on the record, Esperanza has also created, directed and edited 12 short films for each of the 12 tracks on the record, which are linked to form an hour-long feature film. This will be premiered online in early 2012 and Radio Music Society will be released with a companion audio-visual edition, available in digital and physical formats.

The album will be released on 19th March 2012.

Paul McCartney reveals reason for calling new album 'Kisses on the Bottom'

Paul McCartney has explained why he has called his forthcoming new album 'Kisses On The Bottom'.

Set for release on February 6, McCartney's new solo album has taken its name from the lyrics in jazz man Fats Waller's 1935 hit 'I’m Gonna Sit Right Down And Write Myself A Letter’, which McCartney covers on the album.

The lyric in question is: "I’m gonna sit right down and write myself a letter and make believe it came from you/I’m gonna write words oh so sweet/They’re gonna knock me off of my feet/A lot of kisses on the bottom/I’ll be glad I got ‘em."

The album has been recorded with producer Tommy LiPuma, Diana Krall and her band and also features appearances from Eric Clapton and Stevie Wonder. 'Kisses On The Bottom' is made up of songs McCartney listened to as a child as well as two new songs, ‘My Valentine’ and ‘Only Our Hearts’.

The 'Kisses On The Bottom' tracklisting is:

'I’m Gonna Sit Right Down And Write Myself A Letter'
'Home (When Shadows Fall)'
'It’s Only A Paper Moon'
'More I Cannot Wish You'
'The Glory Of Love'
'We Three (My Echo, My Shadow And Me)'
'Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate The Positive'
'My Valentine'
'Always'
'My Very Good Friend The Milkman'
'Bye Bye Blackbird'
'Get Yourself Another Fool'
'The Inch Worm'
'Only Our Hearts'

bob weston of fleetwood mac died

Bob Weston, Former Guitarist for Fleetwood Mac, Passes Away

Bob Weston, the guitarist for Fleetwood Mac in the early-70's, has passed away at the age of 64. Police found his body on Tuesday after neighbors had called, alarmed that they had not seen him. A subsequent investigation revealed that there was no fowl play and an autopsy showed a gastric intestinal hemorrhage, cirrhosis of the liver and throat problems.

A person identified as Steve wrote the falling on Weston's official site:

Bob Weston 1947-2012

It is with great pain that I must announce that Bob Weston has died. He was found dead at home in his London flat in the evening of the 3rd January, by police making a forced entry. Local friends had become concerned at the lack of response, having not seen him for a couple of days. Cause of death has been attributed to a gastrointestinal haemorrhage. He was found in his bed with the TV on; it is presumed he was asleep and didn't suffer...

I spoke to Bob just a few days before Xmas; we had discussed him spending Xmas with us, but he had some gigs to do in London. Instead we made plans for a visit early in the New Year. He was in fine spirits, and was involved in several new projects. He also seemed to be very fit...

My family and I have lost a dear friend; the world has lost an enormously talented musician, with unfinished business...

Steve

Weston started as a violin player but was inspired by American blues greats to pick up the guitar. He played in a number of minor bands before joining up with Long John Baldry, playing on cuts from his Everything Stops for Tea album and going out on tour. It was during one of those tours that Baldry was opening for Fleetwood Mac and Weston became friends with members of the group.

In 1972, Mac was looking to replace troubled guitarist Danny Kirwin and the band hired Weston. Bob was with the band for the recording of the albums Penguin and Mystery to Me and went out on tour to support both LPs. It was during the latter tour that Weston and Mick Fleetwood began to have personal problems and, before the trek was over, Bob was fired from the group.

Post Fleetwood Mac, Weston played on albums for numerous artists including Murray Head, Sandy Denny, Robbie Patton and Bob Welch. He also released there solo albums, Night Light (1980), Studio Picks (1981) and There's a Heaven (1999).

Weston is survived by a younger brother, Peter.
