The Beach Boys are set to reform for a 50th anniversary show.

As Rolling Stone reports, founding member and guitarist Al Jardine has revealed that the group will reunite to perform and that the gig will "probably be free".

"We're definitely doing at least one show," Jardine said. "It's a big deal. I don't know where it will be yet, but it'll probably be free. Golden Gate Park was mentioned, as was the [National] Mall in Washington, DC, and the north shore of Chicago by the beach."

Going on to confirm that the line-up for the show would include Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Bruce Johnston and possibly even early guitarist David Marks, the guitarist went on to explain that he wants the band to tour.

"I want to see a hundred-date anniversary tour," he admitted. "I want to go all around the world, but if this is the way it has to be, then so be it."

He added: "We're going to have to rehearse one hell of a show. My point is, if we're going to rehearse and make this such a wonderful show, we should take it on the road."

A Leonard Cohen documentary filmed in 1972 but never released to the public is finally set to be premiered – at the Green Man festival next month.

'Bird On A Wire' documents Cohen's European tour of that year, but due to artistic wrangling was never officially released. It will be screened at the Welsh event, which takes place on August 20-22 at Glanusk Park, Powys.

The screening will be followed by a question and answer session with the film's director, Tony Palmer, and producer Steven Machat.

A 19-disc Sandy Denny box set is set to emerge on October 4 on Universal Music Catalogue. In addition to 11 discs of the folk-rock siren's released material with Alex Campbell, Johnny Silvo, Fotheringay, Strawbs, Fairport Convention and solo, augmented by outtakes, live tracks and demo versions, there are eight (count 'em) CDs of bonus material - including unreleased BBC recordings, alternate takes, acoustic versions and rare radio interviews. Among the unreleased tracks is the legendarily long lost Lord Bateman, once intended for her first solo album, The North Star Grassman & The Ravens.

Artwork includes a 72-page, 11" square hardback book containing over 100 rare photographs, Denny's handwritten lyrics and memorabilia including a reproduction of the receipt for the starlet's first piano. The box set will be limited to only 3000 copies worldwide. A second edition, limited to 100 sets, is available only from the Island 50 web store. It comes with a framed print of the artwork, signed by the artist and individually addressed to each purchaser.

MOJO can exclusively preview the acoustic demo version of I'm A Dreamer, a gorgeous signifier of Denny's mid-'70s move into a more mainstream rock sound, but pre-dating the controversial Trevor Lucas arrangements that some fans feel obscured her last solo album, Rendezvous. Within a year of its May 1977 release, Denny would be dead, from complications following a fall down a staircase.

Roxy Music have announced details of their first UK tour in over a decade.

The band - featuring original members Bryan Ferry, Andy Mackay, Phil Manzanera and Paul Thompson - will play seven dates in January and February 2011.

Rage Against The Machine will play their first concert in their hometown of Los Angeles in 10 years this Friday (23 July) at the Hollywood Palladium as part of their push for artists and musicians to boycott Arizona because of its new and restrictive immigration law.

Conor Oberst And The Mystic Valley Band will join Rage as a special guest.

Today, RATM frontman Zach de la Rocha will announce that proceeds from the concert will go to organizations fighting against Arizona's law. Last May, de la Rocha enlisted dozens of musicians, among them Joe Satriani, Cypress Hill, Kanye West, Oberst,Serj Tankian, Michael Moore, Rise Against, Ozomatli, Massive Attack, One Day As A Lion, Street Sweeper Social Club, Sonic Youth and Tenacious D to join The Sound Strike, an open call to boycott the state of Arizona over its recently passed immigration law.

Since then, other artists such as Norteno superstars Los Tigres del Norte, Colombian rock singer Juanes and Puerto Rican reggaeton duo Calle 13 have signed on.

Daft Punk songs set to feature in the long awaited Tron sequel have surfaced online.

Six tracks are being streamed by US radio station The End for the soundtrack to Tron: Legacy, which is expected to be released later this year.

The record will be the band's first full-length release since 2005's 'Human After All'.

Last October it was revealed that the Daft Punk pair, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, will appear in the film as well as having recorded its score.

The follow up to the 1982 film, which will see the return of original star and Oscar winner Jeff Bridges, is scheduled for release in the UK on December 17.
