Steely Dan: 2007 Tour Announced

Steely Dan is beginning to announce shows for the early part of 2007. So far, their Heavy Rollers tour is booked into two Native American-owned casinos in California -- the Table Mountain Casino in Friant, and the Chumash Casino in Santa Ynez. It's a fair bet that more shows will be confirmed, since they're using the same 10-piece band that backed them over the summer on the road with Michael McDonald. Just like at any table, the dealers -- in this case, guitarist-bassist Walter Becker and singer-keyboardist Donald Fagen -- will turn over more cards when the time is right.

Ronnie Wood - Rod Stewart: Album Still On Burner

Bruce Simon from IceBergRadio has reported that

For several years now, there's been talk about Rod Stewart and Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood making an album together. We finally got a taste of what they have in store on the Wood anthology titled The Essential Crossexion, which included the song "You Strum And I'll Sing." Wood told us that scheduling has kept them from getting together to bang the record out: "If I didn't have all my commitments that came in the way and he didn't have his, we would have made that album by now. But I know Rod Stewart wants to do a You Strum And I'll Sing album."

Stewart and Wood have been friends for about 40 years, and they've also got quite a joint recording history, between the Jeff Beck Group, the Faces, and Stewart's early solo albums.
