Lovin'Spoonful leader John Sebastian's first five solo albums will be re-released on February 20th. The reissue series includes Sebastian's long out-of-print albums, including:
His 1970's solo debut John B. Sebastian, which featured the classic "I Had a Dream," which he performed at 1969's Woodstock Festival. The set features such guest musicians as Crosby, Stills & Nash, and CSN drummer Dallas Taylor.
The Four Of Us from 1971, which features guest spots by Dr. John and Mountain's Felix Pappalardi.
His 1971 live set, titled Cheapo Cheapo Productions Presents Real Live John Sebastian, including such 'Spoonful classics as "Did You Ever Had To Make Up Your Mind," "Nashville Cats," "Darling Be Home Soon," and "Younger Generation," and covers of "Goodnight Irene," "Fishin'Blues," and "Blue Suede Shoes."
1974's Tarzana Kid, including Sebastian's cover of Little Feat's "Dixie Chicken," with guest spots by David Grisman, David Lindley, the Pointer Sisters, Ry Cooder, and Phil Everly.
1976's Welcome Back, including the title track, which hit Number One after being used as the theme song to the hit sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter.
All the albums feature newly remastered sound, and come complete with their original packaging.
