The second volume to ERIC Records’ specialized rare pop instrumental collection selected more hard-to-find records from the 50s and 60s periods.
Although these tracks aren’t that hard to find, they still aren’t that easy to find on nowadays market either. Some of them are famous songs such as Jorgen Ingmann’s “Apache”, Bent Fabric’s “Alley Cat”, Del Wood’s “Down Yonder”, Don Robertson’s “The Happy Whistler”, Boots Randolph’s “Yakety Sax”, and Ray Anthony’s “Dragnet”. There are also several one hit gems in here, including Kokomo’s “Asia Minor”, the T-Bones’ “No Matter What Shape (Your Stomach’s In)”, Bob Crewe Generation’s “Music to Watch Girls By”, Horst Jankowski’s “A Walk in the Black Forest”, Whistling Jack Smith’s “I Was Kaiser Bill’s Batman”, and Charles Randolph’s “Quentin’s Theme”. This is another excellent collection for anyone who loves the instrumental from the rock ‘n’ roll era. |
