This special collection from ERIC Records collects some of the most beloved pop instrumental tracks from the 50s through 70s era. Most of the tracks here are indeed rare on any CDs available today and All but the last two are top40 hit on Billboard pop chart.
There are many rare one hit wonders here; such as Anton Karas’ “The Third Man Theme”, Johnny Maddox’s “The Crazy Otto”, Reg Owen’s “Manhattan Spiritual”, Billy Joe & the Checkmates’ “Percolator”, Ferko String Band’s “Alabama Jubilee”, and Electric Indian’s “Keem-O-Sabe”. Some tracks can be found nowhere else including Chris Barber’s “Petite Fleur”, Little Dippers’ “Forever”, and Adrian Kimberly’s “Pomp & Circumstance”. Other highlights are hits from the 70s that people would remember it right away such as Marvin Hamlisch’s “The Entertainer”, Frank Mills’ “Music Box Dancer”, Piero Umiliani’s “Mah-Na-Mah-Na”, and Meco’s “Star Wars Theme”. |
