The novelty is one of the most outstanding catagory in popular music. It has been with American music since the beginning of rock 'n' roll, but this kind of album was rare on the market.

This special collection from Ace Records in UK collected 30 of most colorful novelty records from the mid 1950s through the early 1960s. Most of them were one-hit wonders such as Larry Verne's "Mr. Custer", Barry Mann's "Who Put The Bomp", and Napoleon XIV's "They're Coming To Take Me Away, Ha-Haa!". Several tracks here were really hard-to-find on any compilations including Jesse Lee Turner's alien love story "The Little Space Girl", Spencer & Spencer's communist entertainer "Russian Band Stand", Bobby Hendricks' hypnosis session "Psycho", and Linda Laurie's runaway lovers "Ambrose (part 5)". This is a well-execute album that effectively display the wonder of comedy music.
