The decision of Warner on releasing the new Don Henley’s greatest hits amazed many of music fans. Because that there are only 1 song more than 1995’s Actual Miles the Greatest Hits. Not to mention that Henley only released 1 studio albums after the previous Greatest Hits release, which scored only 1 small hit “Taking You Home”. So there isn’t much of new material to add into this greatest hits album.
For the normal fans, who should already own the 1995’s Greatest Hits, this album is unnecessary since it equals to just adding 2005’s studio ‘Inside Job’ into their collection. For listeners who haven’t owned any of those, this is a good choice since it covers all of Henley’s chart hits up till now – including “Dirty Laundry”, “The Boys of Summer”, “All She Wants to Do Is Dance”, “The End of the Innocence”, “New York Minite”, “The Heart of the Matter”, and Actual Miles’s debut “Everybody Knows”.
There are 2 version of this greatest hits album. The deluxe edition comes with an extra DVD contains 6 videos from his chart singles, and 4 additional rare soundtracks. |
