His debut singles became a major hit in Europe and gave him an instant fame. 3 years later, he rocked the world with the classical/ synth pop song "Rock Me Amadeus". It topped the chart on both UK and US. It was Falco's only big success in US until his death in 1998.
Benjamin Orr was a bass guitarist and lead vocal of the Cars. He started his solo career shortly after the release of the group's Greatest Hits album. His debut album The Lace was quite a success with the help of top40 hit singles "Stay the Night". He never released another solo album again until he died from cancer in 2000.

Communards was a short-lived dance-pop group formed by Bronski Beat's ex-vocalist, Jimmy Somerville, and pianist Richard Cole in 1985. Their first attempt was an cover of Thelma Houston's hit "Dont Leave Me This Way". This upgrade with a touch of 80s sound became a Top40 hit on Billboard chart in 1987. They scored another low chart hit before Somerville left for solo career in 1988.
Psychedelic Furs was an alternative/ punk group from 1970s who found their success during the new wave movement in the early 1980s. Their biggest success was a new wave singles "Heartbreak Beat" which became no.26 hit in 1987. However, the song proved to be their last US chart hit till date. They went on hiatus after released their last album in 1991 before reformed for touring in 2000.
T'Pau was a pop/rock band from Shropshire, England, formed in 1986. They quickly made their name with the debut singles "Heart and Soul" in 1987. The song became a Top5 hit on both UK and US chart. The strength of the singles also push their first album to no.1 spot on UK chart. They scored a couple more hits in UK, but none ever enter US chart again till the time they broke up in 1991.
