Dead or Alive was a British dance group from Liverpool in the 1980s. After several attempts, they finally got their big break with "You Spin Me Round" in 1985. The song became no.1 on UK singles chart and almost became Top10 hit in US. Although they managed a couple more hits in their home, they could never dubplicate the success of that 1985 singles again. They broke up in 1989.

He became known to music listeners when his vocal was featured on Art of Noise's song "Paranoimia". This funny song unexpectedly became Top40 hit in 1986, and Max Headroom's only hit.
