The String-A-Longs was an American rock & rolls group formed in the late 1950s. After years of unsuccessful vocal records, they turned to instrumental and finally got a break in 1961 when their Tex-Mex singles "Wheels" became a smash no.3 hit. They tried to ride on this success, but could produce only one small chart hit. They disbanded in 1965.
